Anniversary pack 2: Thymio and its proximity sensors

Discover Thymio with the Yeti and its Discovery Map. Alone or with your family, try all the challenges! The Map can be used without any programmation and will also inspire you for your first codes with images (VPL). The Yeti Discovery Map is composed of a big paper poster (A1 format) and of a user manual. This Discovery Map will allow you to discover the six pre-programmed behaviours of Thymio. Moreover, it will initiate you to the Visual Programming Language of Thymio (VPL).  This Discovery Map is ideal for your first encounter with Thymio but not only. This Map is filled with small challenges and games to do with your robot. The Map is printed in A1 format (594 x 841 mm). The poster is folded and is shipped with an user manual in A4 format. Die Karten sind an der linken Seite gelocht und lassen sich leciht stapeln. Sie sind aus dickem Karton und können ausgeschnitten werden. Es empfiehlt sich, eine Schere, ein Cuttermesser, Klebeband und beidseitiges Klebeband für die Masken bereitzuhalten, die am Thymio-Roboter anzubringen sind. Bei einigen Aktivitäten muss ein Filzstift in das Durchgangsloch des Roboters gesteckt werden. Zum Befestigen der Masken können Lego® Steine oder Klebeband benutzt werden. Es gibt auch Karten mit den möglichen Lösungen der Aktivitäten unter Verwendung der ereignisbasierten Programmiersprache VPL. Diese Übungen können auch mit der Programmiersprache Blockly oder Scratch gelöst werden, aber wir ziehen in diesem Buch die visuelle Programmiersprache VPL wegen ihrer Natürlichkeit, einfachheit und Leistungsstärke vor.

This set introduces you to the functionalities of the two Thymio ground sensors and the VPL3 programming language. The robot also has an accelerometer, a temperature sensor, a microphone, various LED lights and numerous other attributes. Via the Thymio Suite app, the robot can be programmed with VPL, Scratch and Python.
