This is a high-quality 3mm B/BB grade Birch-faced plywood sheet (laserply) measuring 600mm x 400mm that is suitable for a wide range of applications and is particularly suited to laser cutting. Both faces feature decorative Birch veneers and the core is of Poplar plywood. The Poplar core has a lower density than all-Birch plywood, meaning that it can be easily laser cut at lower power settings. Additionally, the poplar core means that the sheets are lighter than birch plywood sheets. The B grade face veneer: This grade shows the natural look of the wood. There will be changes in colour that show the grain pattern. Sound, smooth knots are allowed and these will typically be under 15mm to 35mm in diameter (depending on the countries grading rules). The surface should normally be free from open knots and plugs. The material should be suitable for paint/stain or a lacquered finish. The BB grade back veneer: This grade is similar to the B grade but allows for larger knots and repairs to the face. Sound, smooth knots are allowed and these will typically be under 50mm in diameter. Open knots can be repaired with wooden plugs. The material should be suitable for applications where the visual look is not critical. This plywood uses an EN314-2 Class 1 glue which is suitable for Interior (dry) conditions. Interior glue is generally considered the preferred option for materials that are to be laser cut. This is because the exterior glues can cause a more obvious 'burnt' look on and around the area that is cut. The woods used in this sheet are cultivated wood that grows quickly, which makes it a very sustainable product. This material is PEFC and FSC-certified.

This is a high quality 3mm BR Grade, Birch Laser Plywood sheet produced in Finland which is suitable for a wide range of applications and is suitable for laser cutting. This is BR 'veneer' grade Birch Plywood. This is similar to B grade material, with knots that would typically not exceed 7mm to 8mm in diameter. It shows the natural look of the wood and will show natural colour variations. These plywoods are used in specialist applications and tend to have a slightly higher quality feel. The surface of the material is sanded to a smoother finish than that of most plywoods. This plywood uses an EN314-2 Class 1 glue which is suitable for interior (dry) conditions. Interior glue is generally considered the preferred option for materials that are to be laser cut. We use interior glues because exterior glues can cause a more obvious 'burnt' look on and around the area that is cut. This material is PEFC certified. Features: High quality material with a smoother surface than typical plywood. PEFC Certified (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification). Interior grade glue. 6 ply plywood. The wood fibres are then broken and finally it is also pre-sanded with a 150 grain. This gives a flexible sheet of high quality wood veneer. The rear face of the veneered sheet is covered in a paper backing that is a similar colour to the chosen wood. These veneered sheets can easily be cut with a knife or laser cutter.

A wood veneer is not like an artificial surface such as melamine or a laminate. It is cut from the log and therefore has its own unique grain, texture, and colour. A Grade Veneer is a very high-quality grading (typically the best you will see). The surface of the material will be consistent in appearance with no large variations in colour. Small pin knots are allowed and these would typically be only a few mm in diameter. This grade veneer is on the topside of this MDF sheet. The B Grade Veneer underside shows the natural look of the veneer. There will be changes in colour that show the grain pattern. Sound, smooth knots are allowed and these will typically be under 15mm to 35mm in diameter (depending on the countries grading rules). The surface should normally be free from open knots and plugs. This Bulk Pack of 3mm Opaque Perspex Acrylic Sheets contains nine sheets, each measuring 297mm x 210mm (A4). The surfaces of the sheets have a high gloss finish. You cannot see through opaque Perspex sheets meaning they can be used in designs/products to provide areas of solid colour.

This product is most suitable for applications where a high quality outside surface is needed where visual aspects on the underside are not critical. This Bulk Pack of 3mm Fluorescent Perspex Acrylic Sheets contains five sheets, each measuring 297mm x 210mm (A4). The surfaces of the sheets have a high gloss finish. Fluorescent sheets have an edge that appears to 'glow' under ambient light which can be used to create very striking designs. Fluorescent Perspex sheets are also see through, though the view is tinted by the colour of the Perspex.  Applications:Fluorescent Perspex acrylic sheets have many applications such as point of sale, model making, signs, artistic and architectural installation, casings, etc. Working with Perspex acrylic sheets:Perspex is a versatile material that can be cut, drilled, laser cut and thermoformed. Perspex is a thermoplastic which means that when it is heated above 140-180°C it becomes flexible. This allows the material to be formed into the required shape or bent. Once the material cools below 85°C it becomes rigid again. Perspex sheets are often shaped using a CNC router or laser cutter. The edge of laser cut Perspex has a pleasing polished look. If you look carefully at the edge of a piece of laser cut Perspex you can often see slight vertical lines that are caused by the pulses a laser uses when cutting. If you want to get a perfectly smooth finish on the edge of piece of machined Perspex a polishing technique can be used. Typical polishing techniques include diamond polishing and flame polishing. It also possible to etch the surface of a Perspex sheet using a laser cutter. This can produce some very pleasing visual effects. The Perspex sheets have a protective film on both faces. If you are etching the material then this should be removed from the surface that is to be etched. If you are just laser cutting then this film can be left in place (if you wish) as it does not create any harmful gases when it is laser cut (unlike PVC).
